Evolutionary Architect

Eugene Tssui began developing his philosophy of an “Evolutionary Architecture,” over three decades ago. Continually studying the workings of nature, from microscopic organisms to cosmology phenomena, Tssui has developed an architectural philosophy deeply rooted in nature, science, technology, and ecology. Designs mix beauty and functionality, with Tssui’s artistic prowess merged with decades of study and success in design practicality.

An Evolutionary Outlook.

  • Draw it.

“Hand drawn” is the Eugene Tssui staple. Tssui produces every rendered drawing himself, where renderings have been later sold as works of art themselves. In the ancient history of architecture, almost all architects have renderings completed not by the hands of their own. On the contrary, Eugene Tssui is traditional and old-school, where Tssui hand draws every minute detail of his projects.

  • Create it.

Humans should build as nature builds, with a plan and with an intelligence to create form and structure. New-contemporary century methods have brought Tssui Design new techniques like spraying on concrete over an inflatable form with reinforcing steel and insulation, thus using materials many times stronger and lighter than structural steel. This saves months of intense and expensive labor; creating indestructible and magnificent results.

We must welcome research and let new methods quickly supplant the old for the sake of economy, ecology and conservation of materials. In this way, laborers can be freed for detailing and creation of masterful features which establish the building as a true work of functional art.
